Welcome to Goals! Here I will be telling what I gleaned the previous quarter, and what I hope to do next quarter!
What I gleaned from this quarter 1:
- I can use other speaker tags other than 'said' to emphasize how the character 'said' the line in my story.
- I can use the element of surprise to freak out 6th graders and girls (I learned this from the Haunted Hallway at my school's Halloween dance).
Two Goals I have for quarter 2:
- I would like to get all A's in my LA and World Geo classes.
- I would like to be a better friend to my BFF, Alana.
What I gleaned from this quarter 2:
- I learned how to cite from a poem by putting a slash after each stanza.
- I learned how ride a Ripstick really well.
- I learned how to play the theme song from Inside Out called "Bundle of Joy" on piano.
Two Goals I have for quarter 3:
- I hope to continue doing well in Language Arts.
- I hope to continue playing the piano and getting better at playing with two hands.
What I gleaned from quarter 3:
- I learned how to be given a subject and research it and do a report-type-thing on it. :)
- I learned how to play the C Major, F Major, A Minor, and G7 chords on the piano.
- I learned how to make onigiri and tamago.
Two goals I have for quarter 4:
- I hope that I continue to learn more and more skills on citing and writing articles.
- I hope that I continue to get better at playing piano with both hands.
What I gleaned from quarter 4:
- I learned how to dissect a sonnet line by line.
- I learned how to play a popular French folk song called, "Aloutte".
- I learned how to rap the rap from the song "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande.
Two goals I have for eighth grade:
- I hope that I continue to learn how to put dialogue into my stories to make them even better.
- I hope that I get to continue playing piano next year.
- I hope that I find that I am good at playing flute next year.
